Born in Padova, 1958
Teacher in physical education, particularly involved in the didactics of free climbing. Since 1978 he is a technician of the Italian National Alpine and Caving Rescue Service. He carries on an intense caving activity both in Italy and abroad, organizing over fifty geographical expeditions to Turkey, the Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Uzbekistan, Iceland, Myanmar, Antarctica.
In 1993 he is awarded the Rolex Award for Enterprise in the “Exploration and discovery” section, with the project “Canyon of Rio La Venta”. He is co-editor of seven books and several technical articles for foreign magazines. He has collaborated to the production of several documentaries.
Member and founder of “La Venta Esplorazioni Geografiche” association.
