From Greenland to the Andes, from the Venezuelan Tepui to the Patagonian desert passing through wild islands and base camps in the Italian Dolomites. What skills should an expedition medic possess? Not only health skills, but also technical, safety and communication skills.
The course is open to all health professionals with an interest in the topics covered (Medical Specialists, Residents, Nurses, Students, Physiotherapists, etc). No prerequisite or experience is required, but adaptability and a desire to get involved.
– A practical and interactive course dedicated to all those who want to approach the world of health care and medical and paramedical management of expeditions
– A multidisciplinary faculty with over 25 years of work in the most remote areas of the Earth, in support of organizations such as National Geographic and the European Space Agency
– Lectures will be accompanied above all by workshops, where the faculty will pass on its experience in the organization and all-round management of expeditions, with a particular focus on the medical aspect
